This gem of a shop on Munich’s iconic Wienerplatz sells chic leather shoes and bags made in Italy and Spain. The wonderful proprietors have kindly offered to support emerging local design by stocking a small quantity of the hipi.

A relatively recent introduction to Waldtrudering’s high street, Convertini has a modern and pretty collection of clothing, shoes and accessories in vibrant and metallic colours. Prices are also competitive. Thank you Mr. Convertini and Sarah for supporting a local Trudering designer 🙂
Outside of lockdowns, shopping centres have been very popular in Munich, not least because there are relatively few of them. One South east Munich institution has been Einkaufscenter Neuperlach, popularly known as PEP. Although the building dates back to the 80s, which shows, its interior has recently been facelifted. Besides being located next to the Neuperlach Zentrum U-Bahn station, PEP’s offering is pretty large. It has the massive Kaufland and a newer Edeka, as well as all the German favourites: DM, Hugendubel, Müller, Saturn, Vodafone, Commerzbank, dry cleaning, a play area, the only Primark in Munich and even a community theatre!
