ok so we’ve been seeing sports shorts or leggings with pockets at the back for some time, perhaps for keys… And my husband actually manages to fit his iPhone 5 in his. However, these tend to have an awkward bulge at the back of the waist, and they also tend to be very much geared to running and sports activities.

Looks like clothing manufacturers are now wising up to the fact that most people want to have their phone around with them all the time, and are now coming up with leggings with pockets, or in this case a pocket on the side for your phone. Case in point, these leggings I spotted on Wish recently.

Cool idea. And certainly similar to some extent to the functionality of the hipi. However, of course, with the hipi, you wouldn’t just hold your phone there (there are other pockets for keys, tissue paper, sunglasses etc), and they are also a bit more secure from being pickpocketed than with this version.

Of course there is only one way to find out, which is to try (both?) yourself. I should probably give it a go myself if at least in the interests of research 🙂
